JEP is downloaded directly from us. Here's what to expect.
macOS — open the .dmg, drag JEP into Applications.
Open the disk image, drag JEP into Applications, then eject it. Open JEP normally. macOS may ask you to confirm that it was downloaded from the internet the first time.
Windows — open the signed .exe installer.
Run the installer and follow the prompts. Windows may ask you to confirm the publisher before installation.
Set a PIN, pick a folder, you're done.
